PHO: Water Sounds Appealing, But I Don't Love This Fund
Investing in the water industry is promising due to outdated infrastructure, droughts, and global water scarcity, with governments ramping up infrastructure spending. It's not so easy to define what exactly is a water stock, however, as many firms are not pure play investments in the water industry. Invesco Water Resources is the largest of the water ETFs, but I'm not convinced its portfolio is a particularly compelling way to play the water theme.

PHO: Liquidity At A Long-Term Discount
PHO is the largest water ETF with over $2 billion in AUM, tracking companies that conserve and purify water. Contaminated water is a widespread issue, with PFAS chemicals causing health problems and a lack of clean water globally. PHO offers diversification with holdings in various sectors, including technology companies, providing growth potential in a stable industry.
